This is a structured placeholder policy. The headings and structure are production-ready; the wording must be reviewed and finalised by qualified legal counsel before going live.
1. Introduction
iXRLabs ("we", "us", "our") provides VR-based educational software to universities, colleges, and their students. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. It applies to our website and our learning platform.
We act as a data processor for the student and faculty data our institutional customers entrust to us, and as a data controller for website visitors and prospective customers.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details you submit through forms (name, email, phone, institution, role).
- Demo, quote, and partnership requests.
- Correspondence with our sales and support teams.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device information when you visit our website.
- Learning-platform interaction data generated when students use modules (configurable by the institution).
3. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve our platform and modules.
- To deliver faculty analytics to our institutional customers.
- To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
- To send service communications and, where permitted, relevant updates.
- To meet legal and contractual obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use student data to train external models.
4. Student data
Student data is processed on behalf of, and under the instructions of, the institution. Institutions control what is collected and configure the behaviour of the 7thi AI tutor, including its retention and audit settings. The 7thi tutor is subject-scoped and does not store student personally identifiable information beyond what the institution configures.
We handle student data in line with applicable education-sector privacy expectations (for example, FERPA-aware practices for US institutions). Specific commitments are set out in the data processing agreement with each institution.
5. Data residency
Institutions can choose where their data is stored - currently the United States, the European Union, or India. Data remains in the chosen region. Region selection is made at contract time, and changes are available at renewal.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We share personal data only as needed to operate our service:
- With sub-processors who support our infrastructure, under contract and confidentiality obligations.
- With your institution, where you are a student or faculty user.
- Where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
7. Security
We encrypt personal data in transit and at rest, and maintain ISO-certified information-security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect the data entrusted to us. A full description of technical and organisational measures is available to institutional customers on request.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object or request portability. Students and faculty should direct most requests to their institution; we will support the institution in fulfilling them. Website visitors can contact us directly.
9. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. A separate Cookie Policy provides detail on the specific cookies used.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a revised "last updated" date, and where appropriate, notify institutional customers directly.
11. Contact us
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@ixrlabs.com, or write to our offices in Jaipur, India or Lewes, Delaware, USA. See our contact page for full address details.
12. Terms of Service
Access to the iXRLabs platform is governed by the agreement signed with each institutional customer. In summary: iXRLabs grants licensed institutions and their authorised students and faculty a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the modules and the 7thi AI tutor for educational purposes for the term of the subscription. All module content, software, and trademarks remain the property of iXRLabs. Users must not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source content from the platform.
Service is provided on the availability and support terms set out in the institutional agreement. For a copy of the current terms, or to raise a contractual question, contact legal@ixrlabs.com.
13. Accessibility
iXRLabs is committed to making its platform usable by everyone. We design our web interfaces against WCAG 2.1 AA guidance - keyboard navigation, sufficient colour contrast, descriptive alt text, and screen-reader-friendly structure. Every VR module is also available in a web mode that runs on any device without a headset, so students who cannot use VR hardware can still complete the same coursework.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. If you encounter a barrier or need an accommodation, contact accessibility@ixrlabs.com and we will work with your institution to resolve it.
